Cody first came to us when his owner could no longer keep him. Even as a young miniature gelding, he had a way of charming everyone he met. He was adopted into a therapy program, where he did beautifully — but his adventurous streak kept getting him into trouble. Cody would slip through electric fencing to go exploring, and after being found on the road more than once, his adopters knew he needed a safer setup than they could provide.

Back at Spirit Horse, Cody quickly found a new purpose. He became a companion to a grieving pony who had lost his herd mate, and the change was remarkable — the pony relaxed, gained confidence, and thrived with Cody’s steady presence.

Today, Cody lives with Forest, a neighborhood pony who needed a friend. The two are inseparable: grazing side‑by‑side, playing, and occasionally getting the “zoomies” as Cody races joyfully around the pasture. He’s still quite the character, and his big personality brings life and laughter to the farm.
